昔の映画をスクリーンで観た②「シンデレラ」～ディズニー100フィルムフェスティバルの思い出～ I watched old movie at the movie theater② "Cinderella"

2023年、ディズニー創立100周年を記念して、様々な企画が行われました。
ディズニーのデジタルスタンプラリーが開催されたり、100周年記念作品の「ウィッシュ」が公開されたり、これまでの映画のキャラが一堂に会す、「ワンスアポンアスタジオ」という短編作品が制作されたり。
そのような企画のうちの一つに、「ディズニー100 フィルムフェスティバル」というものがありました。
10月の土日に、皆から愛される名作ディズニーアニメを、映画館で公開するというイベントです。
国によって作品ラインナップが違ったそうですが、日本はこんな感じでした。
1.アナと雪の女王 10月1日に上映
2.ベイマックス 10月8日に上映
3.シンデレラ 10月14日に上映
4.モアナと伝説の海 10月15日に上映
5.リトル・マーメイド 10月21日に上映
6.ズートピア 10月22日に上映
7.塔の上のラプンツェル 10月28日に上映
8.ファンタジア 10月29日に上映
私はこのうち、「シンデレラ」と「ファンタジア」を観に行きました。
今回は「シンデレラ（日本語吹き替え版）」の鑑賞体験について書いていきたいと思います。
シンデレラ、劇中曲「ビビディ・バビディ・ブー」等が有名な名作映画ですが、実はまだ観たことがありませんでした。
そんな、まだ観てない名作映画を映画館のスクリーンで観られるなら行くっきゃないと思って、チケットを買うことにしました。
チケットは1週間ほど前からネットで予約できるようになっていたのですが、予約が始まってすぐに確認してみると、すでに予約を確定されている方が2、3名！
けっこう田舎の方にある映画館でこれだったので、驚きながら私もさっさと予約を済ませ、当日はほぼ満席の状態でした。
田舎の映画館で満席なんて、ほぼほぼありえないことです。すさまじきディズニー人気！
満席の期待の中で上映が始まりましたが、シンデレラ、良すぎますね。
ご存知の通り、私はミュージカル映画が好きで、多くのディズニー作品も、作品中に歌がたくさん歌われるミュージカル映画となっています。
シンデレラもそうで、作品中で何度も歌われる「夢はひそかに」をはじめとした、名曲のオンパレード！

ストーリーも、ハッピーエンドだとわかっていながら、継母やその娘の意地悪にすごく悲しくなったり、シンデレラのピンチにドキドキしたり。そしてハッピーエンドだとわかっているからこそ、どんな悲劇やピンチが途中で起ころうと、幸せな結末への希望をずっと胸に抱きながら見ることができました。
「シンデレラ」と「ファンタジア」の2作品のみ、ディズニー100フィルムフェスティバル開催当時、期間限定でパンフレットが映画館で販売されていました。
上映前は、「パンフレットまでは別にいいかな」という気持ちだったのですが、
実際に鑑賞して、曲良し・ストーリー良し・絵などその他もすべて良し、の、名作の呼び名通りの作品だと感じ、「パンフレット欲しい！！！」の気持ちが沸き上がって来ました。
多くの方もそのような気持ちだったようで、上映後のパンフレット売り場には長蛇の列が！！
私も並んで無事に1冊ゲットし、帰りの電車でそれを読みながら作品の素晴らしさを反芻するという、最高の鑑賞体験ができました。
初シンデレラを、映画館で体験することができ、本当によかったなと思います。

In 2023 the year of Disney's 100th anniversary, also in Japan, we could experience various celebrate Disney projects.
For example, Disney's digital stamp rally, the 100th anniversary movie "Wish", and a short film called "Once Upon a Studio" in which appear various characters from previous Disney movies.
One of such projects was "Disney 100 Film Festival".
This is an event where classic Disney animations that are loved by everyone were released in movie theaters on weekend in October.
I heard that the lineup of movies differs depending on the country.
In Japan, the lineup was like this.
1.Frozen (played 1st October)
2.Big Hero 6 (played 8th October)
3.Cinderella (played 14th October)
4.Moana (played 15th October)
5.The Little Mermaid (played 21st October)
6.Zootopia (played 22nd October)
7.Tangled (played 28th October)
8.Fantasia (played 29th October)
I went to watch two movies. "Cinderella" and "Fantasia".
In this article, I would like to write about my experience watching "Cinderella (Japanese dubbed version)".
Cinderella is a famous movie. Almost all people know its song, "Bibbidi Bobbidi-Boo". But actually, I had never watch it before.
If I can watch a masterpiece which I hadn't watched yet on a movie theater screen, that is fantastic! So, I decided to buy a ticket.
Tickets have been available for reservation online for about a week, but when I checked as soon as reservations started, there were two or three people who had already confirmed their reservations!
Even though this movie theater is in rural area in Japan, I was surprised that some people quickly made a reservation. And it was almost full on the day of the movie.
It's impossible for a rural movie theater to be full in usual. Disney is incredibly popular!
The screening started with full expectations. I am going straight to the point; Cinderella was just too good!
As you know, I like musical movies, and many Disney movies are musical movies with many songs sung during the movie.
Cinderella is also musical. The movie includes many famous songs, like "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Make", which is sung many times in this movie!

Even though I knew the story is a happy ending, I felt really sad when I watched meanness of the stepmother and her daughter, and I was really nerves when I watched the scene that Cinderella is in trouble.
And because I knew the story is a happy ending, I was able to watch it with the hope convincing a happy ending in my heart, no matter what tragedies or hardships occurred around Cinderella.
When the Disney 100 Film Festival was held, only brochure of only two movies, "Cinderella" and "Fantasia" were sold at movie theaters.
Before the screening, I thought that "I don't need the brochure".
But, after I watched this movie, I felt that the song was good, the story was good, others like pictures were all good, this is a masterpiece! And I started to feel like "I want a brochure!!!"
It seems that many people felt the same way, and there was a long line at the brochure counter after the screening!!
I lined up in line to get it. On the train to home, I read the brochure, and I reminded the wonderfulness of Cinderella.
I'm really glad that I was able to experience Cinderella for the first time in a movie theater.
